Operations and Distribution
Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust (NFCPT) is awarded an annual quota from the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources. With this quota, Horse Mackerel and Hake are caught in Namibian waters enabling the Trust to sell the fish to the public at an affordable (discounted price) and therefore, generate an income.
Frozen fish is kept in cold storage in Walvis Bay and dispatched to various shops by means of road transport as orders are submitted to the distribution office, situated the head office in Walvis Bay.
NFCPT currently has 6 trucks that are on the roads daily to deliver fish to the various NFCPT fish shops across the county.
